Job Roles
The SAP Support Executive is responsible for providing functional and technical support to SAP end-users across all company modules. The role ensures smooth operation, data integrity, and user satisfaction within the SAP environment by resolving system issues, assisting with configurations, training users, and coordinating with consultants for enhancements and upgrades. The position acts as the link between users, IT, and business process owners to ensure that SAP systems effectively support operational and management needs.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
System Administration and User Support
Provide first-line support for SAP users across all functional areas (Finance, HR, SCM, Production, and Sales).
Troubleshoot user issues, errors, or system bugs, ensuring timely resolution or escalation to consultants when necessary.
Create, modify, and manage user profiles and authorizations in line with company policies.
Maintain proper documentation of SAP tickets, resolutions, and change requests.
Ensure high system availability and accuracy of data entries across modules.
Functional and Technical Coordination
Support configuration and customization of SAP modules in collaboration with consultants and module owners.
Assist in testing new functionalities, patches, or system upgrades before go-live.
Monitor system performance and report recurring issues or integration challenges.
Coordinate with IT and department heads for data uploads, reconciliations, and reporting requirements.
Data Integrity and Reporting
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of SAP data entries across departments.
Conduct periodic data validation checks and resolve inconsistencies with relevant users.
Support generation of SAP reports and dashboards as per management requirements.
Maintain data backup and ensure transaction logs are regularly updated.
Training and User Empowerment
Train new and existing users on SAP navigation, transactions, and reporting tools.
Develop and update user manuals and quick reference guides.
Support department heads in reinforcing data entry discipline and adherence to SAP processes.
Conduct refresher sessions to ensure consistent system usage and compliance.
Change Management and Continuous Improvement
Identify gaps between SAP functionalities and business processes and recommend improvements.
Participate in implementation of new modules, enhancements, or integrations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and optimize system usage.
Stay updated on SAP best practices and contribute to system innovation initiatives.
Compliance and Governance
Ensure all SAP operations comply with company IT and data security policies.
Maintain confidentiality of user credentials, business data, and transaction information.
Support system audits and ensure full traceability of transactions and changes.
Enforce segregation of duties and role-based access control within SAP.

About You
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field.
Certification or formal training in SAP ERP (FI/CO, MM, PP, HR, or BASIS modules) preferred.
Additional training in SQL, database management, or reporting tools is an advantage.
Experience
Minimum of 4 years of experience in SAP end-user or support role.
Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA or ECC in manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
Familiarity with user management, authorization, and process integration across modules.
Experience in user training, report generation, and data validation within ERP systems.
Technical Attributes
Strong understanding of SAP modules, integration, and data flow.
Proficiency in troubleshooting system issues and performing root cause analysis.
Good grasp of database structures and data extraction tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, or Power BI).
Knowledge of authorization management and SAP change control.
