Main Duties and Responsibilities

Under the general direction and supervision of DGM for Corp[orate Resource Management, Corporate Finance Department Manager, is responsible for the organizing, directing and controlling all activities related to cost and budget, financial accounting and cash management; ensuring that company finance is well managed and utilized per company policies, procedures and approved work programs; authorizing payment within delegated limits; following up the closure of accounts, directing for the conduct of cost analysis and preparation of financial statements and reports.

Detailed Duties and Responsibilities

Planes, organizes and coordinates, leads the overall financial, management and cost accounting functions and activities of the company;
Manages, oversees and follows up the proper functions of financial and accounts operational activities of the company;
Develops, revises and implements the company’s financial, and accounting management, chart of accounts, policy, procedure and working systems;
Proposes the development and implementation of sound and modern financial management systems and practices of the company that enables it carry out its business function in the most effective way;
Solicits financing sources, allocates budgeted resources and ensures optimal utilization of financial resources by all business units and work units of the company;
Coordinates the preparation of budgets for running the various business operations, purchases, manpower requirement and material and logistics requirements of the company;
Guides for the preparation of annual budget and sets strategic financial objectives of the company and monitors the financial objectives implementation and controls budget utilization of work units;
Follows up the preparation of financial statements by each individual business unit and their consolidation at corporate level for external audit of accounts;
Ensures the timely closure of annual accounts in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles or IFRS system, and ensures that auditors’ comments are properly implemented with proper corrective actions;
Ensures that the company’s financial policy procedures and other related rules and regulations are consistently and properly applied across the company;
Advises top management on financial management matters;
Administers employees’ salaries, payroll deductions, income tax and pension contribution and ensures the timely payment of such dues to concerned government authority;
Ensures the disbursements, collections and deposits on time are made in accordance with established financial rules, policies and procedures;
Ensures that cash is utilized properly and in accordance with contracts entered, and company procedures, rules, regulations and general guidelines, at all levels of the company:
Oversees the orderly clearance of payables and receivables and ensures that all payables are effected within the time limit set;
Opens and operates the bank accounts of the company, counter signs cheques and other negotiable instruments based on delegated authority;
Reviews, assesses, analyzes and reports the financial status of the company and provides expert advice to Management on sound finance management system;
Ensures that effective internal control and financial risk management system is established and maintained for all functional areas of the company;
Develops and proposes performance indicators for the measurement and evaluation of financial functions effectiveness;
Provides product cost information to business units of the company with detail cost analysis that could be used for setting prices and advises management during new price setting or revising existing prices;
Monitors, controls and evaluates the day to day activities of staff under his supervision and ensures that they are discharging the assigned duties and responsibilities in a proper manner;
Participates in recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees of the Department;
Prepares annual work plans and budgetary requirements of the Department;
Supervises and evaluates the performance of subordinates;
Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial and performance report for internal management decision and to concerned government agency as deemed necessary;
Submits regular and extraordinary performance reports relating to financial management activities of the company;
Performs other related function and tasks as and when required.
About You
From recognized university/college second degree in Finance, training in accounting software application and IFRS and 8 years related work experience, out of which 3 years in a managerial position (s)

From recognized university/college first degree in Accounting & Finance/ Accounting, training in accounting software application and IFRS and 10 years related work experience, out of which 4 years in a managerial position (s)
