Job Summary

Eversea Transit and Logistics is seeking a high-caliber Finance Manager to lead our financial operations in Addis Ababa. As the custodian of our fiscal stability, you will move beyond daily accounting to provide the strategic financial insights required to navigate the dynamic logistics and shipping industry.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Oversight: Lead the daily operations of the finance department, ensuring accurate record-keeping and robust financial controls.
Financial Reporting: Prepare high-level financial statements, periodic reports, and long-term forecasts to guide management decisions.
Cash Flow & Budgeting: Manage company liquidity, monitor expenses, and oversee the end-to-end budgeting and cost-control processes.
Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with national tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and legal requirements.
External Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, banking partners, and regulatory authorities.
Advisory Role: Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to senior leadership to foster business growth.
Team Leadership: Supervise the accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, integrity, and professional development.

About You

1. Educational Background

Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is considered a distinct advantage.

2. Professional Experience

Tenure: Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting.
Industry Focus: Proven experience within the logistics, shipping, or transit sectors is mandatory.

3. Core Competencies & Skills

Financial Mastery: Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial systems/accounting software.
Regulatory Expertise: Deep understanding of Ethiopian tax regulations and financial compliance frameworks.
Leadership: Exceptional analytical, team management, and communication skills.
Precision: High level of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate, audit-ready records.
