Job Summary
The Credit Administration Officer is the guardian of the bank’s loan portfolio integrity. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end documentation, compliance, and disbursement of loan facilities. You serve as the critical bridge between credit analysis teams and the customer, ensuring that every credit file adheres to both internal bank policies and national regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Documentation Management: Oversee the preparation, execution, and perfection of loan contracts and security documents.

Compliance & Risk Control: Ensure all credit files meet the bank’s stringent credit policy and regulatory standards before any funds are released.

Loan Disbursement: Manage the end-to-end disbursement process, verifying that all “Conditions Precedent” have been met.

Collateral Management: Maintain accurate records of collateral and securities, ensuring they are valid, enforceable, and safely stored.

Liaison & Communication: Act as the primary contact point between the credit department and the customer regarding document status and facility activation.

System Maintenance: Update and maintain the loan management system to ensure accurate data for risk reporting and portfolio monitoring.
About You
1. Educational Background
-
Degree: BSC or BA in Accounting, Economics, Management, Business Administration, Banking & Finance, or a related field.
2. Professional Experience
-
Total Tenure: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience within the banking industry.

Specific Seniority: At least one year of experience specifically as a Junior Credit Administration Officer or in a directly related credit-support position.
3. Core Competencies

Accounting Mastery: Strong technical grasp of accounting principles to evaluate financial records and loan structures.

Diligence: Exceptional attention to detail in record-keeping and document verification to mitigate institutional risk.

Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) directives and internal banking credit policies.
