COMPANY BACKGROUND

Tadesse Desta Business Group (TDBG) is one of the seasoned and prominent Private companies in Ethiopia. It incorporates Four legal business entities namely; Tadesse Desta Import /Export, Aztad Industrial and Trading PLC , Azeb Tadesse Coffee supplier and TADAB Building material & Trading plc. Under its umbrella. It engages in import/export, Labeling, printing & Packaging, transport and manufacturing business.

Currently, Tadesse Desta Business Group has a diversified business activity among which is in the original endeavor of the coffee processing and export, with export destination of USA, Middle East , Europe, South Korea and China; TDBG has diversified on the supply chain with Coffee roasting to Buku Highland coffee production. In addition, TDBG is in the development stage of a Labeling, printing packaging which has commissioned lately.

 

 

Role and Responsibility

• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
• Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the company.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Perform complex reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate and lead internal and external audits.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Review and approve financial transactions and journal entries.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Participate in the development and improvement of accounting policies and procedures.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial projects and initiatives.
About You
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
• Proven experience in accounting or finance, with a minimum of [4] years .
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and lead by example.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS).
• Experience in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets.
• Experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
