The CISO Unit is looking for a strategic leader to oversee the operational execution of the enterprise cyber defense program, ensuring the security of AI-driven financial systems, data assets, and digital capital market platforms.
Role Overview
Location: Addis Ababa
Department: CISO
Reports To: Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)
The Head of Cyber Security translates enterprise risk strategy into technical controls. You will lead the Security Operations Center (SOC), manage vulnerability programs, and enforce Zero Trust architecture across Kifiya’s cloud and on-premise ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cyber Security Operations & SOC Leadership

Lead the enterprise cyber defense capability for financial and AI infrastructure.

Oversee the SOC for real-time monitoring, threat detection, and incident triage.

Define operational procedures and escalation protocols for advanced persistent threats.
2. Threat Detection & Incident Response

Establish detection layers across network, cloud, endpoint, and applications.

Lead investigations into malware, phishing, and data exfiltration.

Coordinate cross-functional incident response and forensic analysis.
3. Vulnerability & Infrastructure Management

Execute enterprise-wide vulnerability scanning and remediation programs.

Ensure security configurations for Firewalls, WAFs, and Endpoint Protection (EPP).

Validate cloud security compliance supporting AI and financial platforms.
4. Identity & Software Security

Enforce IAM controls and mandatory Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

Integrate security controls into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience: 10–12 years in cybersecurity, including leadership of SOC or cyber defense teams.

Domain Expertise: Experience in financial services, fintech, or regulated digital environments.

Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or equivalent preferred.
