Job Summary

The Junior Sales Officer supports the sales team in generating leads, maintaining customer relationships, and achieving corporate sales targets. This role is ideal for an early-career professional looking to scale their software, IT, or tech sales skills within the dynamic Ethiopian market, with a strong focus on client communication, proactive learning, and performance growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying new B2B and retail sales opportunities through foundational market research, networking, and outreach activities.

  • Support the tech sales team in cultivating relationships with clients, corporate partners, wholesalers, and IT service consumers.

  • Promote and present tech products, platforms, or services to customers under the strategic guidance of senior sales staff.

  • Follow up on warm leads and incoming digital inquiries to convert them into active pipeline accounts.

  • Assist in drafting commercial proposals, technical descriptions, and official sales documentation.

  • Support the collections pipeline by following up on client invoices and outstanding payment balances when required.

  • Monitor, track, and report on fundamental tech market trends and local competitor movements.

  • Maintain comprehensive records of active customer interactions, pipeline status, and weekly/monthly sales metrics.

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a closely related field.

Experience & Core Competencies

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven, hands-on work experience in sales or account management.

  • Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional verbal and written engagement capability to interface smoothly with business clients.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to match enterprise requirements with technical products.

  • High adaptability and readiness to thrive in a fast-paced corporate tech environment.
