Job Title: Senior Internal Auditor

JOB PURPOSE

A Senior Internal Auditor plans and executes end-to-end audits, evaluates internal controls, and manages junior staff. The role ensures that financial and operational processes comply with regulations and standards while identifying risks and presenting corrective recommendations to senior management.


QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years and above related work experience in the position.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop risk-based audit scopes, objectives, and testing procedures for assigned audit engagements.

• Perform control and substantive testing to verify the effectiveness of operational and compliance controls.

• Evaluate financial documents for accuracy and compliance with federal regulations.

• Identify financial risks within the organization and recommend measures to reduce risk.

• Identify accounting and financial record-keeping processes that can be improved.

• Determine ways to reduce costs and improve profitability.

• Assess the efficiency and productivity of internal staff and recommend improvements.

• Present audit findings to upper management through reports and presentations.
