Purpose of the Role

The QA Specialist ensures the quality, reliability, and functional performance of the academy’s software products. Working closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders within an Agile environment, this role plans, designs, and executes testing procedures to ensure software releases meet business logic and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Design & Execution: Create and execute manual test cases, comprehensive test plans, and specific user scenarios across functional, regression, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases.

  • Defect Tracking: Identify, isolate, log, and re-verify software bugs utilizing issue-tracking platforms like ClickUp, Notion, or similar systems.

  • Collaborative Debugging: Partner alongside development teams to reproduce reported issues, participate in design reviews, and validate code updates against core requirements.

  • Reporting & Optimization: Compile detailed test reports, communicate progress to stakeholders, and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA standards and automated testing frameworks.

About You

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a highly related technical field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software quality assurance or software testing frameworks.

  • Technical Stack Knowledge: Clear understanding of software testing methodologies, manual testing practices, and experience utilizing bug-tracking tools.

Preferred Technical Assets

  • Tooling & Platforms: Hands-on experience with Git version control, Postman for API testing, and database validation using SQL.

  • Methodologies: Experience testing web and mobile applications within an Agile/Scrum ecosystem.

  • Certification: An active ISTQB certification is considered a distinct advantage.

  • Core Competencies: Sharp analytical problem-solving skills, strong communication, and high attention to detail.
