About the Job

The Technical Trainer & Coach at Mantrac Ethiopia is responsible for elevating the technical proficiency and safety standards of service personnel. By delivering structured programs aligned with Mantrac Group and Caterpillar standards, you will ensure that technicians possess the skills required for operational excellence. This role blends classroom instruction with hands-on field coaching to support high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Instructional Delivery: Lead classroom-based sessions and hands-on technical training, including essential safety protocols.

• Field Coaching: Guide technicians in both workshop and field environments, reinforcing best practices and Caterpillar service standards.

• Operations Management: Manage training schedules, logistics, and maintain meticulous training records for all personnel.

• Curriculum Development: Identify technical skill gaps and develop relevant training materials and learning modules.

• Progress Monitoring: Utilize learning management platforms to track trainee performance and ensure effective knowledge transfer.

• Team Support: Act as a technical knowledge hub, assisting service teams with complex troubleshooting and competency development.

About You

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.

• Experience: 3–5 years of work experience, with at least 2–4 years specifically in service operations or technical training.

• Industry Knowledge: Experience with Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy machinery is a significant advantage.

• Mentorship: Strong ability to coach and mentor technicians of varying skill levels.

• Communication: Excellent presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex mechanical concepts.
