🚀 Job Summary

The consultant or consultancy firm will lead the implementation of a baseline assessment in coordination with the Power for Food team. This role involves managing qualitative and participatory data collection to evaluate complex agri-energy systems, specifically focusing on Regenerative Agriculture and the Productive Use of Renewable Energy (RA–PURE).

📝 Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment Leadership: Lead the baseline assessment processes from inception to final delivery.

  • Methodology Design: Design and facilitate participatory assessments, including Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs).

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work with diverse actors including farmers, the private sector, financial institutions, and local partners.

  • Data Synthesis: Triangulate findings from multiple data sources and translate qualitative findings into quantitative estimates and structured indicators.

  • Project Coordination: Manage timelines and collaborate closely with country-specific teams to meet program realities.

🎓 Who We Are Looking For

  • Expertise: Deep understanding of the RA–PURE context (Regenerative Agriculture & Renewable Energy) as both separate and integrated systems.

  • Methodological Skills: Proven experience in qualitative and participatory research methodologies in complex systems.

  • Analytical Ability: Strong report-writing skills in English with the ability to provide deep analytical insights.

  • Presence: Entities with an established presence or a vetted network of consultants in Ethiopia are strongly preferred.

  • Technical Skill: Proficiency in Database Management.
