Role Purpose
The Capacity Building Manager leads the design, implementation, and scaling of digital skills, innovation, and incubation programs. The role is central to building industry-relevant digital talent, strengthening innovation ecosystems, and supporting startup growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Program Leadership: Design and implement digital capacity-building frameworks aligned with national digital transformation strategies.
Innovation & Incubation Management: Lead digital incubation programs for startups and MSMEs, overseeing ideation, MVP development, and go-to-market readiness.
Curriculum & Learning Design: Lead the development of industry-focused, hybrid curricula covering software development, cybersecurity, AI, and emerging technologies.
Partnerships & Ecosystem Engagement: Build and manage relationships with universities, government regulators, and international development partners.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Impact: Establish KPIs and impact measurement frameworks to track skills acquisition, employability, and startup success rates.
Team & Resource Management: Lead multidisciplinary teams of trainers and mentors while overseeing budgeting and day-to-day operations.
About You
5. Required Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree (or higher) in Information Systems, Computer Science, EdTech, or Engineering. (PhD is a strong advantage).
Experience: 4+ years of progressive experience in digital skills development, innovation hubs, or startup incubation.
Technical Competencies: Strong understanding of digital skills frameworks (e.g., DigComp), emerging technologies, and experience with LMS platforms.
Soft Skills: Strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and a strong mentoring and coaching mindset.
6. Reporting Line
Reports to: Director of Strategy / Executive Leadership.
Supervises: Capacity Building Officers, trainers, and program coordinators.
