Key Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic & Technical Direction: Drive the design, deployment, and scale-up of digital health frameworks. Align corporate digital transformation efforts directly with Ethiopia’s National Digital Health Strategy.

System Architecture & Interoperability: Guide the continuous deployment and integration of primary electronic health systems, ensuring adherence to national data interoperability standards.

Data Systems Optimization: Support and scale platforms like DHIS2, eCHIS, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), OpenMRS, KoboToolbox, and ODK.

Analytics & Reporting: Engineer interactive dashboards and custom data visualization architectures to facilitate evidence-based administrative choices.

Data Governance: Champion robust cybersecurity protocols, maintaining total data privacy, patient anonymity, and info governance.

Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Eyu-Ethiopia at national digital health technical working groups and coordinate with development partners.

Capacity Building: Lead internal knowledge management, train field staff on new digital health utilities, and support operational research.
About You
Required Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Data Science, Digital Health, Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Information Management, or a related technical discipline.

Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible professional experience centered on digital health infrastructure or health information systems. Proven experience navigating donor-funded programs and multi-stakeholder health ecosystems is required.
Technical & Core Skills

Data Collection Platforms: Advanced capability deploying mobile data tools such as KoboToolbox, ODK, REDCap, SurveyCTO, or CommCare.

Health Info Ecosystems: Solid working knowledge of eCHIS, DHIS2, and OpenMRS.

Analytics Software: Foundational or advanced proficiency in statistical packages (STATA, R, or Python) alongside dashboard design toolsets (Power BI or Tableau).

Languages: Complete written and verbal fluency in English. Command of additional local Ethiopian languages beyond Amharic serves as a distinct advantage.

Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, strategic troubleshooting, and clean communication skills.
