About the Job
The Finance Business Partner plays a critical role in managing the financial health of our coffee farming operations. This isn’t just a “numbers” role; it involves a sophisticated blend of financial modeling, strategic relationship building, and hands-on controlling within the context of coffee agriculture. You will act as the bridge between the farm management team and our overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Modeling

Agricultural Forecasting: Develop financial models and budgets specifically for coffee farming, accounting for variables like production costs, seasonal cycles, and market trends.

Performance Metrics: Monitor ROI, cost of production per kilogram, and profitability per specific washing station or crop cycle.

Controls: Implement procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and global best practices in agribusiness finance.
2. Partnership & Strategic Development

Negotiation: Lead terms and agreements for financing arrangements, investment opportunities, and supply contracts.

Innovative Finance: Collaborate with partners on solutions like pre-harvest financing, forward contracts, and impact investing to enhance farm sustainability.
3. Risk Management & Mitigation

Volatility Assessment: Mitigate risks associated with market volatility, weather patterns, and supply chain disruptions.

Protection Strategies: Implement hedging, specialized agricultural insurance, and diversification of revenue streams to safeguard the farm’s interests.
4. Stakeholder Engagement

Internal Alignment: Work closely with farm managers and operations staff to align financial goals with field realities.

External Trust: Build transparent relationships with suppliers and external partners to foster collaborative financial growth.
About You
1. Education & Experience

Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.

Proven Track Record: Experience in financial management is essential, with a strong preference for candidates from Agriculture, Agribusiness, or related sectors.
2. Technical & Soft Skills

Analytical Prowess: Ability to interpret complex agricultural data and make data-driven decisions.

Negotiation: Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Coffee Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with coffee supply chain dynamics, market trends, and agronomic practices is highly desirable.
