Job Title: Finance Department Head

Job Summary

The Finance Department Head is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all financial activities of the organization. The role ensures effective financial management, compliance with applicable laws and accounting standards, preparation of financial reports, budgeting, cash flow management, and strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Lead, supervise, and develop the finance and accounting team.
Policy & Strategy: Develop and implement robust financial policies, procedures, and internal controls. Support strategic corporate planning and investment decisions.
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Provide financial analysis and strategic advice to senior management.
Budgeting & Cost Control: Prepare annual budgets, monitor budget performance, track expenditures, and recommend cost-control measures.
Treasury & Cash Flow: Manage organizational cash flow, optimize banking relationships, and oversee treasury functions.
Operations & Compliance: Oversee payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions. Ensure timely payment of taxes, complete legal/regulatory compliance, and coordinate internal and external audits.
Risk Management: Identify financial risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.

About You

Educational & Professional Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a closely related field. A Master’s degree (MBA, MSc in Finance/Accounting) is highly advantageous.
Professional Certification: Accounting certifications (such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) are an asset.
