Job Purpose Summary:

The job holder for this post is required to work as team member of the Gondor program office management team. Supervises the work of field finance department with regards to accounting methods, ensures internal financial controls are implemented, responsible for timely reporting to Country office on cash flow, payroll rosters, monthly financial reports and maintaining all financial records according to accounting standards and IMC practices.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Primary responsible for the preparation of cheque payments of the field office.
Data entry and processing financial transactions daily.
Work closely with the Sr. Finance officer to ensure smooth operation and compliance with organization’s finance standards and deadlines.
Prepares daily cash report and bank balances and share with Sr. Finance officer and Head office finance team.
Scanning finance documents and loading them into the share drive as required.
Responsible for the daily cash handling and reconciliation.
Ensure that all necessary documentation is maintained and authorized by relevant signatories before cash/Cheque payments and cash collections
Update the daily cash transactions journal (CTJ) and share with finance and Admin officer for posting to CostPoint.
Maintaining cash boxes to be safe.
Ensure that necessary codes are filled in before settling payments.
Make timely cash replenishment request when cash account reaches to the minimum balance.
Issue Withholding Tax Receipt to the payer wherever applicable.
Effective coordination with colleagues at the field office and projects.
Follow up and check the timely settlement of cash travel advances.
Filing according to IMC Standards.
Complete required paperwork daily for the field office operation.
Provide regular reports to the coordination and for the monthly report
About You
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Management with 4 years’ work experience in financial management and/or accounting.
Active knowledge of English language writing and speaking
Proficiency in Accounting software, MS Excel and MS Word as well as good grasp on Internet and email communication.
Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.
