Job Summary

The General Accounts Head is responsible for overseeing the overall accounting operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy of financial records, compliance with regulatory requirements, and timely preparation of financial statements. The role ensures strong internal controls, efficient accounting processes, and reliable financial reporting to support strategic decision-making

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank).
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all financial transactions.
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
Monitor supplier payments and customer collections.
Oversee reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable balances.
Monitor daily cash position and bank reconciliations.
Maintain fixed asset register.
Ensure proper capitalization, depreciation, and asset verification.
Conduct periodic asset counts and reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.
Coordinate tax filings (VAT, Withholding Tax, Income Tax, etc.).
Strengthen internal control systems and accounting policies.
Support internal and external audit processes.
ERP & System Management
Salary: – For as per Company scale and benefit packages.

Place of work: – Addis Ababa

Closing Date: – Seven consecutive days including Saturday from date of this announcement.

Term of Employment: – Unlimited period (permanent) up on satisfactory completion of the probationary period.
About You
Required Qualifications

BA Degree in Accounting & Finance (Master’s degree is an advantage)
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Accounting & Finance.
At least 3 years in a senior-level position with leadership responsibilities.
Experience in the healthcare sector is highly advantageous
