Head – Budget and Cost Accounts Section

Dede Manufacturing is seeking a highly analytical and leadership-oriented Cost Control Section Head. This role is pivotal in managing manufacturing costs, budget implementation, and operational efficiency through data-driven decision-making.


Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy & Budgeting

  • Assist the department manager in developing and implementing finance and accounting strategies and policies.

  • Prepare the annual budget based on operational and capital plans; monitor and control budget utilization.

  • Perform variance analysis (Actual vs. Plan) and provide financial insights related to manufacturing costs and inventory.

2. Cost Management & Analysis

  • Set up new raw materials, packaging, WIP, and finished goods (FG) items.

  • Create and maintain production Bill of Materials (BOM) and perform periodic cost rolls/updates.

  • Analyze changes in product design, materials, and manufacturing methods to determine effects on total cost and profitability.

  • Collect data to determine costs of business activity, including labor and material purchases.

3. Operational Excellence & Reporting

  • Provide management with comparative reports on factors affecting prices and product profitability.

  • Recommend corrective actions regarding material, machine, and labor requirements against agreed plans.

  • Enhance existing policies and procedures to maintain efficient operational excellence.

4. Team Leadership & Development

  • Ensure strategies, policies, and targets are clearly disseminated to the team.

  • Provide training and coaching to employees within the division.

  • Conduct periodic performance appraisals and provide feedback to drive future improvements.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: BA or MA degree in Accounting and Finance or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/leadership position.

  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and various accounting software.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of internal control systems, tax laws, and accounting standards.
