Purpose of the Role

The Accountant supports core financial and accounting workflows by processing high-accuracy transactional data, maintaining regulatory compliance, and backing corporate reporting goals. This position collaborates directly with the Financial Manager to implement cost controls, protect organizational assets, and drive operational health across the distribution network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recording & Reconciliation: Maintain the general ledger. Execute daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations across bank accounts, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).

  • Financial Reporting: Assist in drafting core income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Perform variance analysis to guide budgeting and forecasting.

  • Compliance & Controls: Enforce internal financial safeguards. Maintain strict alignment with statutory tax laws and reporting benchmarks (e.g., IFRS, GAAP), and organize files for audit reviews.

  • Ledger Management: Process vendor invoices, issue customer billings, monitor outstanding collections, and reconcile discrepancies to secure steady cash flows.

  • Payroll & Expenses: Coordinate foundational data entry for payroll calculation, verify disbursement of employee benefits, and process expense claims against company policies.

  • ERP System Management: Input transaction data into the core accounting software and ERP environment, safeguarding structural data integrity.


About You

Qualifications & Background Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related academic discipline. Relevant professional accounting certifications are highly desirable.

  • Experience Level: 0 years of experience required (Fresh Graduate). Prior academic familiarity or internships within the distribution, logistics, or construction materials sector is an advantage.

  • Domain Knowledge: Foundational exposure to general ledger accounting, corporate financial reporting, compliance standards, and ledger bookkeeping.

Core Technical Skills

  • Financial Reporting: Basic competence in summarizing and compiling financial datasets.

  • Systems Literate: Working knowledge of digital accounting software and automated ERP database environments.

  • Relations Management: Highly professional communication skills to smoothly coordinate invoicing and account disputes with external vendors and customers.
