About the Job
The Finance and Administration Coordinator is a dual-purpose leadership role responsible for the integrated management of Finance, Human Resources, and Operations within the regional office. You will ensure that all regional activities adhere to internal policies and Ethiopian law while maintaining the proper functioning of assets and systems. Reporting to the Regional Program Manager, you will act as a critical bridge between the regional field activities and the Country Office.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Oversight

Compliance: Ensure all transactions follow I1D policies and the regulations of the Government of Ethiopia.

Reporting: Manage the monthly closing process in QuickBooks (QB) and send monthly budget variance and cash flow analysis reports to the Finance and Grant Managers.

Audit: Facilitate annual audits and implement recommendations from both internal and external auditors.

Budgeting: Partner with program teams to develop budget proposals and ensure expenditures stay within approved limits.
2. Human Resource Management

Lifecycle Management: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance appraisals, and staff record maintenance.

Payroll: Ensure timely salary administration, including the proper deduction of taxes and pension contributions.

Employee Relations: Act as the primary focal person for grievances and conflict resolution in the region.
3. Administration & Operations

Logistics: Oversee procurement processes, vehicle fleet management, and office facility maintenance.

Asset Management: Ensure the security and proper tracking of all regional office assets.

Liaison: Maintain strong professional relationships with government offices and local regulatory bodies.
4. Grants, Compliance & Safeguarding

Donor Integrity: Ensure expenditures are allowable and properly documented according to specific donor agreements.

Sub-Grants: Monitor and liquidate financial reports from sub-grant partners.

Safeguarding: Strictly adhere to the Imagine 1 Day Safeguarding Policy, remaining alert to risks involving children and vulnerable adults.
About You
Education & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. (A Master’s degree is preferred).

Experience: A minimum of 5–8 years in finance/administration within an NGO environment, including 3–5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Technical Skills

Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks (QB) and MS Excel is mandatory.

ERP Systems: Demonstrated skill in using integrated financial management systems.

Standards: Solid understanding of financial internal controls and Ethiopian labor/financial laws.
