Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, oversee junior staff, and ensure full compliance with financial regulations. This role involves high-level financial analysis, coordinating audits, and providing strategic insights to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight: Manage daily accounting operations and supervise/mentor junior accounting staff.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Audit & Compliance: Coordinate internal and external audits; ensure adherence to IFRS and local financial regulations.

• Reconciliations: Perform complex reconciliations and resolve any financial discrepancies.

• Strategic Planning: Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and the development of accounting policies.

• Internal Collaboration: Review and approve financial transactions and collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects.

Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience

• Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Advanced degree is a plus).

• Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is required.

• Experience: Minimum 4–6 years as a Senior Accountant.

• Industry: Experience in FMCG companies is preferred.

• Leadership: Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role.

Technical & Soft Skills

• Knowledge: Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

• Software: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the full Office Pack (Word, Access, Outlook, etc.).

• Analytical: Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.

• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead by example.
