The Senior Accountant at Frezer Abey Promotional and Advertising Materials plays a crucial role in overseeing financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This full-time position requires a seasoned professional with 5-8 years of experience, working in an office environment in Addis Ababa. The Senior Accountant will manage financial reporting, budgeting, and risk management, contributing to the overall efficiency and accuracy of the finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.

  • Manage and oversee the budgeting process, including variance analysis and reporting.

  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.

  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to mitigate financial risks.

  • Utilize QuickBooks for accurate financial tracking and reporting.

  • Conduct regular audits and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support business decisions.

  • Prepare tax returns and ensure timely payment of taxes.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and strategic plans.
