About the Job
1. Treasury & Bank Operations
Transaction Management: Execute bank transfer applications for local and overseas suppliers (Tax, Customs, Salaries).
SAP Maintenance: Post all overseas payments, bank charges, and journals in SAP.
Digital Finance: Manage Telebirr handsets and process online payments for approved operational costs.
Banking Relations: Conduct regular bank visits to secure debit advice, statements, and follow up on pending overseas transfers.
2. Accounts Payable & Supply Chain Coordination
Voucher Verification: Verify Purchase Orders (POs) and Good Received Notes (GRNs); ensure accurate calculation of Withholding Tax (WHT).
Invoicing: Book local and import supplier invoices in SAP and maintain the internal “system-to-vendor” reconciliation.
Compliance: Follow up with SCM-Local to ensure all invoices and receipts are collected; freeze payments for unsettled or non-compliant suppliers.
3. General Accounting & Internal Controls
Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations, staff advance reconciliations, and verify capital work-in-progress (CWIP) against fixed asset registers.
Liaison: Coordinate with Sales for bid guarantees and SCM for customs deposits.
Audit Support: Act as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors, ensuring all filing systems are audit-ready.
4. Financial Reporting
Generate weekly Payable Ageing Reports and coordinate with SCM for resolution.
Prepare monthly management reports on unreconciled suppliers and staff advance statuses.
Compile monthly Telebirr transaction and bank reconciliation summaries.

About You
Education: B.A. Degree in Accounting or Finance. (ACCA/CPA qualification is a plus).
Experience: 5+ years of experience, preferably in a Manufacturing or Metal industry setting.
Software: Advanced proficiency in SAP (FICO module) and Microsoft Excel.
Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of Ethiopian Tax Law (VAT, WHT, Income Tax) and Proclamation 1156/2019.
