Job Summary
Travelio Tour and Travel is seeking a highly experienced, Executive-level Senior Tourism Marketing Manager to spearhead international and domestic market positioning. The role focuses on promoting Ethiopia’s rich cultural, historical, adventure, and community tour products. The executive will drive growth by expanding business relationships with overseas tour operators, managing multi-channel digital campaigns, and leading B2B networking efforts at major international travel exhibitions.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Market Promotion: Architect and execute annual tourism marketing strategies to establish Ethiopia as a top-tier travel destination. Design targeted promotional campaigns across key niches, including cultural heritage, historical circuits, adventure travel, and city tours.

B2B Networking & Partnerships: Build, scale, and maintain high-value relationships with international tour operators, destination management companies (DMCs), travel agents, and corporate clients. Negotiate strategic partnership agreements and represent the company at global travel fairs and roadshows.

Omnichannel Digital Marketing: Coordinate comprehensive digital marketing campaigns spanning corporate websites, major social media channels, targeted email marketing, and prominent online travel platforms (OTAs).

Collateral Development & Brand Integrity: Oversee the curation of all high-impact promotional materials, travel package itineraries, destination content, and corporate presentations while preserving an authentic, high-quality brand image.

Financial & Analytical Oversight: Formulate annual marketing budgets, rigorously track campaign expenditures, monitor ongoing sales performance, and compile analytical monthly performance reports.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with the internal travel operations team to ensure seamless end-to-end execution of all marketed packages and tour itineraries.
About You
Academic Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Tourism Management, Marketing Management, Hospitality Management, or a closely related field.

Professional Longevity: Minimum of ten (10) years of verifiable, relevant experience within tourism marketing, destination management, or large-scale tour operations.

Domain Mastery: In-depth knowledge of Ethiopian tourism destinations, corridors, and local travel regulations, combined with practical experience in domestic tourism market dynamics.
Core Skills & Attributes

Native or professional-grade English fluency (both verbal and written) with exceptional presentation and high-stakes negotiation capabilities. Mastery of additional foreign languages is highly advantageous.

Advanced proficiency in digital marketing toolkits, online travel booking ecosystems, and the MS Office Suite.

Strong executive problem-solving, analytical report writing, and multi-disciplinary operational leadership capacities.
