About the Job
Belayab cable manufacturing plc is established to manufacture low voltage copper wire and cable, all aluminum conductor, all aluminum alloy conductor, aluminum conductor steel reinforced and data cable.

The job position accountant is responsible under the guideline given to perform financial and accounting activities. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts.

Perform financial and accounting activities of the organization based on given guidelines,
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts,
Prepare general journal entries, reconciling accounts, reviewing contracts for compliance with terms and conditions or accounts for consistency with generally accepted accounting principles,
Review and process expense vouchers, invoices, and other fiscal documents for payment,
Reconcile various financial reports and other data concerning fiscal operations,
Determine payroll requirements; maintains payroll data; prepares and processes monthly payrolls,
Record, summarize and classify the Company’s financial transactions with in the frame work of organization’s policies, procedures and standards,
Prepare financial status reports and studies when required,
Assist in the development and implementation of the accounting system to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and procedures,
Monitor and maintain appropriate bank balances, reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies,
Verify that transactions comply with the Company’s financial policies and procedures,
Prepare, verify, and process invoices and coding payment documents,
Analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts,
Perform other related duties and activities given by immediate supervisor as required.
About You
: BA degree in accounting and 4 years of working experience

Additional Skills:

advanced computer skills, particularly knowledge of MS Word and MS excel, as well as other financial software packages.
Practical experience using Peachtree accounting software
Excellent knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations
Excellent in written and verbal communication skills.
