About the Job
Purpose of the Position:
The Direct Sales Team Lead at Dodai is pivotal in achieving our ambitious target of 500 e-motorbike sales to consumers and SMEs in Addis Ababa in 2024. This role is responsible for spearheading the direct sales initiatives by effectively hiring & managing both sales representatives and showroom staff. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining strong customer relationships, actively prospecting new leads, securing sales, and devising targeted strategies to enhance the visibility and appeal of Dodai products. The Team Lead will also ensure a cohesive effort with other departments to align with and promote Dodai’s strategic goals and mission, thereby fostering a positive representation of the company in the market.
Responsibilities:
Customer Experience and Engagement:
Ensure exemplary customer service and maintain a professional showroom environment that meets international standards as well as Dodai brand standards.
Promote punctuality and professional presentation among team members to enhance customer trust and reflect Dodai’s quality.
Regularly train staff on customer engagement and maintaining a neat appearance to ensure a unified and professional representation of the Dodai brand.
Sales Leadership and Team Management:
Drive the team towards the goal of 500 sales to consumers and SMEs in Addis Ababa in 2024, using motivational leadership, targeted training, and precise sales strategies.
Foster accountability, set clear sales targets, conduct performance evaluations, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Implement daily tracking and digital reporting of sales activities and customer interactions to assess team performance and adapt strategies.
Compile and present digital reports detailing sales progress and data insights.
Brand Advocacy:
Lead sales lead generation and community engagement to broaden the customer base and enhance brand visibility.
Ensure team alignment with the Dodai brand’s mission, promoting the brand actively in the marketplace.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Managerial Directives:
Work with other departments to improve sales strategies, integrate customer feedback, and enhance product offerings.
Respond to management directives promptly, adapting strategies and operations to evolving business needs.
About You
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in direct sales, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets, preferably in a leadership role within the automotive or technology sectors.
Expertise in direct sales techniques and the management of sales teams.
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage a sales team towards meeting ambitious sales goals.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering strong customer relationships and promoting team cohesion.
Commitment to providing top-notch customer service, with a passion for coaching team members to excel in customer interactions and sales performance.
