About the Job
The IT Officer at Teklehaimanot General Hospital will play a crucial role in supporting the hospital’s information technology infrastructure. This contract position, based in an office environment, involves managing data entry and record-keeping with a focus on creativity and efficiency. The IT Officer will ensure that all systems function optimally and securely, contributing to the overall effectiveness of hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain hospital information systems to ensure data integrity and security.
Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of IT assets and services.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues for staff and patients.
Implement software updates and system enhancements as necessary.
Coordinate with other departments to assess and fulfill IT needs.
Develop and maintain documentation for IT procedures and protocols.
Monitor system performance and report on metrics to improve efficiency.
Provide training and support to hospital staff on IT systems and tools.
Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and best practices.
Collaborate with external vendors for hardware and software procurement.
