Position Purpose
Support business continuity and business growth by providing the required assistance on reviewing and drafting contracts and legal agreements, provision of legal opinions and recommendations based on research findings, preparation and maintenance of legal documents, including contracts, memos, and reports and ensuring compliance with legal standards and mitigate risk.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Drafting and reviewing of contracts under the supervision of the Contracts & Legal Services Manager
Compile and update the legislation repository database
Provide professional support by researching laws, court decisions, and commentaries in the provision of legal opinion
Researching laws and other legal matters to support the preparation of pleadings and petitions
Prepares a register of all court cases for an effective follow-up of adjournments
Provides support in the preparation of policies, procedures and manuals
About You
The position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in laws
2 years’ progressive professional experience in legal practice.
Comprehensive knowledge of local and federal laws relevant to the organization’s operations.
Experience in drafting and reviewing various legal contracts, agreements and standards
Ability to convey legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
Ability to address legal issues and find effective solutions.
Ability to uphold and promote legal and ethical standards within the organization.
Experience in ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
